After being awarded honorary doctorates from the University of Bedfordshire and the University of Edinburgh, Shah Rukh Khan, the Badshah of Bollywood has received yet another honorary directorate in Philanthropy from the University of Law, London during a graduation ceremony of more than 350 students.
The Raees actor has not only established himself as a great actor but has also carved a name for himself as an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and an orator. Shah Rukh Khan has earned much love for championing human rights in India
In his acceptance speech, King Khan said that “I believe charity should be done with dignity and in silence and I’m privileged that I’m able to use my status to champion causes which are close to my heart. I actively participate in the causes of rehabilitation of the underprivileged, women empowerment and basic human rights. And I’m humbled to receive this Honorary Directorate and would like to thank everyone for choosing me.”
He also mentioned the work done by his own non-profit organization, Meer Foundation which works with acid attack victims and aims to initiate change at the ground level to build a world that empowers women.
