Actor Huma Qureshi says it is hard to get well-written female parts in movies, which she thinks is a true picture of how our society does not admire bold and opinionated women.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of Forevermark diamond collection, she said that with more involvement of women on-screen and off-screen there is a change in the way the female narrative is coming on screen. “There are a lot more strong female writers, directors, producers, and actors who are changing the game which is indeed a good and welcome change,” she added.
The 32-year-old actor has played a role in several movies like Gangs of Wasseypur series, D day, Badlapur amongst others where she had a strong role to play. Huma Qureshi will be next seen in ‘Leila’ which will stream on Netflix from June.
